A Note from Pastor Dottie

Dear Ones,

“Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say again: Rejoice!” (Pilippians 3:4)

And I rejoice with you.  160 years of worship and mission, it is a wonderful accomplishment.  I am humbled and grateful to serve in this congregation.  Though we pause for a moment to give thanks and remember.  We look forward as we continue in our ministry.

As I read through the history of our congregation I see the dedication of our congregation to our church and its surrounding communities.

Schapville Zion has been, and continues to be a beacon of hope and an expression of God’s love through its worship and mission. outreach and fellowship.

The presence of our congregation means so much to the communities which we serve.  We provide a safe place for one and all to share their joys and their sorrows.

Your imprint on rural Elizabeth is much wider and deeper than you realize.  Your value to the communities you serve is greater than you know.

With God’s blessings may your ministry continue to strengthen and grow in God’s love.

Blessings, hope and love to all,

Pastor Dottie Morizzo

Schapville Zion Mission Statement

The mission of Schapville Zion Presbyterian Church is to bring the Good News of Christ’s love, sacrifice, teachings, and promises to all ages in the communities we serve…to study and practice Christ’s teachings and by example bring others to Christ.

Our mission activities are far reaching, touching lives on the local, national and international level.

We support missionaries in the field and our own mission team.  We touch the lives of children and babies with disaster relief supplies.  Provide food for our local pantries and Christmas for a needy families.

Our worship style is traditional but comfortable.  We have Christ as our center as we gather each Sunday at 10:00 am for praise and worship.  Throughout the year we offer times of worship for the celebration of the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We gather often to break bread together at our famous pot luck luncheons.  Our summer Homecoming worship with a potluck and music is a favorite.

In November we invite the entire community to our annual fund raiser our Chili Supper.
